Am 31. Mai gastierte das World Doctors Orchestra mit dem deutschen Ärztechor und 4 Gast-Solisten in der evangelischen Stadtkirche in Karlsruhe. Unter der Führung von Dirigent Stefan Willich und Chorleiterin Anja Schlenker-Rapke wurde die h-Moll-Messe von Johann Sebastian Bach aufgeführt.
Das WDO ist eine Vereinigung von mehr als 2000 Ärzten aus 60 Ländern. Viermal im Jahr geben circa 100 Ärzte Benefiz-Konzerte auf der ganzen Welt. Der Erlös kommt ausgewählten medizinischen Hilfsorganisationen zugute. Ich hatte die Ehre die Proben und das Konzert fotografisch zu begleiten. On May 31st, the World Doctors Orchestra performed with the German Doctors’ Choir and four guest soloists in the Protestant City Church in Karlsruhe. Under the direction of conductor Stefan Willich and choir director Anja Schlenker-Rapke, the B minor Mass by Johann Sebastian Bach was performed.
The WDO is an association of more than 2000 doctors from 60 countries. Four times a year, around 100 doctors give benefit concerts all over the world.
